Established in 2007, it has more experience in preparing it’s graduates for jobs as Special Police Officers, and as an institution for advanced education and certification for individuals currently employed in the security field.

It is a private academy established to train candidates to be Special Officers with police powers for qualification for Boston Police Department Special Officer Program.

The Academy owner and Director, William M. Cloran, is a practicing attorney in Newton, Massachusetts. He is a former General Counsel to the Department of Public Utilities, former Assistant Clerk to the Supreme Judicial Court for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and a former Massachusetts State Police Officer. He is a member of the Bar of Massachusetts, the Bar of the United States Court of Military Appeals, and the Massachusetts Bar Association.

Mr. Cloran presently serves as the General Counsel to the Licensed Private Detectives Association of Massachusetts, and is the author of widely recognised legal manuals and handbooks, including

Mr. Cloran is a former lecturer at Suffolk University School of Law, a former senior lecturer at Northeastern University, and a lecturer for the Massachusetts Criminal Justice Training Counsel. INSTRUCTORS

All lecturers are experienced police academy lecturers. All are professionals who practice(d) in the field taught. Lecturers will answer questions in class.

There will be a program monitor on site each day to take morning and afternoon attendance and address issues that may arise. Copies of attendance records are available to the employer. The training program will be monitored by the Boston Police Department for compliance with its high standards.

Cost of program based upon the number of hours and the number of students in attendance. Make-up hours for missed classes are an additional cost.
